A word from our Chairman

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, worship Him, seek His guidance and His forgiveness, and we turn to Him in repentance. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and from our evil deeds. Whoever is guided by Allah cannot be led astray, and whoever is led astray by Allah none can guide.

On the 5th of November 2016 AD, which corresponds to the 4th of Safar 1434, the Quba Islamic Centre was established in Birmingham’s Nechells neighbourhood. The current building was purchased to serve the local community as an integrated centre, as well as to serve as a shining beacon and a fruitful resource from which members of the Muslim community of all classes could learn how to establish their religion? and study the characteristics of the tolerant Sharia that the seal Prophet Muhammad PBUH established. Without exaggeration or negligence, but by adhering to and following the Sunnah of our Prophet PBUH, as well as his comprehensive approach, which Allah the Almighty summarized in the Quran by saying: “And We have not sent you (Oh Mohamed) but as a compassion to the worlds.”

The Quba Islamic Centre adopts the approach of Ahlu Al-Sunnah wa Aljama’a in all of its affairs. It also recognises the importance of beneficial cooperation and integrated coordination with all components of the Islamic spectrum in Britain. While servicing the needs of the local community, the centre also adheres to the philosophy of constructive contact with all members of the local community and builds bridges of productive communication with official authorities in the UK. The centre aims to raise a generation of Muslims who preserve its Islamic identity, integrates positively and fruitfully into its British society, reflecting the best image of its tolerant Islamic religion, far from all extremism and radicalism.

Finally, I’d want to express my gratitude to all of the centre’s employees, including management, teachers, imams, and volunteers, for all of their hard work and sacrifices that have enabled the centre to fulfil its noble objective and continue its many programs and activities.

We pray to Allah the Almighty to assist the Centre in carrying out its mission to the fullest extent possible that pleases Him – the Almighty – and to reward those who work to establish it with the best reward, to include it in the balance of their good deeds on the Day of Judgment, and to include us in the reward and acceptance.
